Enzymes exhibit specific properties and are used as catalysts in the conversion of chemical substances in various industrial sectors. Since 1939 when we developed, manufactured, and sold its first enzyme, a desizing agent used in the textile industry, we have continuously devoted ourselves to the manufacture of a wide variety of enzymes derived from microorganisms. These enzymes are widely used in textile processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and sewage treatment. We are characterized by our ability to supply not only conventional scale but also small lots of products and to respond in various other ways to the requests of each individual customer. We are aggressively involved in the development of new enzymesbiological catalysts with as yet unrevealed, perhaps unlimited, potential, that will prove useful in still more of our customers' manufacturing processes.
